Viola / Russia
Olga Bulakova was born in Moscow and studied viola at the Central Music School and at the Moscow Conservatoire under Professor A. Bobrovsky and Professor V. Berlinsky (Borodin Quartet). Since 1995 she has been a member of the Moscow Quartet, with which she won several international prizes such as at the International Gottfried von Einem Competition (Austria) and the International Shostakovich String Quartet Competition (St. Petersburg).
Olga Bulakova participated in master classes with the Alban Berg Quartet, Prague Quartet, Budapest Quartet and the legendary Amadeus Quartet. She released CD recordings (with the well-known European firms "Olympia Records" and "Pan Classics"), and played in countless concerts in Europe (Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France Netherlands, Spain, Germany), Asia (China, Taiwan and Kuwait) and in America. As a chamber music partner, Olga participated in music festivals all over Europe with such renowned musicians as Siegfried Palm, Alexander Rudin, Saulius Sondeckis, Alexander Brussilowsky, Jan-Fransua Antonioli, Konstantin Liwschits and the composer Luciano Metianu.
